In a construction office in Moscow, Russia - Created structural designs and execution plans for villas & suburban houses.

Al Raqa - Deir Al Zour Highway Project,
which was one of the largest Highway Projects in Syria for that period of time, and it was a coalition of “Lama Trading and Contracting” (Syria) and “Copri Construction Enterprises” (Kuwait), under the supervision of the “Engineering Consultancy Office” (Jordan). The total length of the project was estimated at 181 km, and it included:
- Motorway road linking Al Raqa City and Deir Al Zour City (131 km long).
- Two roads (each 25 km long) connecting Dair Al-Zour City with the northern and southern banks of Al-Furat River, including the associated infrastructure.
- The construction of industrial works (bridges, support walls & culverts…) as well as supplementary works (median strips, road signals and traffic signs…).

Al Babiri Pipeline Project, which was the first project aiming to supply the city of
Aleppo with drinking water through the use of GRP pipes (The contract was final handed to the
owner successfully).
The project included procurement, construction and commission of 10 km of GRP pipes and CS
pipes (both 2000mm diameter), in addition to assembling flow meters, valves...

Aleppo industrial city(Sheikh Najjar) infrastructure projects, which were divided
into 9 distinct projects that included:
- Road construction works with total length of 70km ;
- Water distribution systems (both pure & industrial) ;
- Drainage, waste management & sewage systems ;
- Telecommunication grids, Electrical grids and road lighting
(The contracts were final handed to the owner successfully)

Skills :

* Thoroughly study project contract documents, specifications & drawing. ;
* Determine construction methods & sub-contractor selection. ;
* Plan project execution (developed on Primavera or MS-Project):
+ Scheduling the processes and time using CPM (forming activities, determining their
sequences according to the dominating constraints, estimating activities duration, arranging
network and determine floats, progress tracking and identifying critical path
+ Resource planning (resource leveling, resource allocating, preparing manpower and
machinery histogram)
+ Project control (preparing projected cash flow, monitoring cost, preparing progress curve
(S curve)

+ Analysis and Follow up progress of work and preparing daily/weekly/monthly progress
reports
+ Reconciliation of sub-contractor progress completion percentages
+ Review rate analysis of the major items and variations to contract
+ Prepare scope of works for minor projects
+ Conduct evaluations of performance & quality index.
* Commercial control responsibilities included planning coordination, budget/cost control, subcontract management and preparation of progress/cost reports, as well as the monitoring and
review of the variation/change notices.
* Preparing monthly and final statements of contractors and sub-check measurement of quantities
and workshop drawings
* Inspection of work and materials (handling - storage - testing - quality - Manufacturing -
supplies)
* Analyzed and assessed engineering needs and concerns which may affect the project progress,
developed several scenarios in response to work's delay, that would rectify a schedule deviation.
The successful alternative focused on the proactive identification of delay causes, as well as their
associated impacts to the work's sequencing, in order to take advantage of an opportunity to finish
works in parallel and restore the project completion date
* Analyzed and assessed the risks and impact of subcontractors underperforming, and prepared a
plan to mitigate those risks.
* Achieved cost and schedule saving by challenging the necessity of the design changes requested
by the client.
* Initiate all materials purchase orders as per procedure, verify compliance with terms of the
contract and monitor delivery
* Construction records & claims for damage ;
* Provided field-engineering support to the construction team by coordinating the communications
between engineering and construction teams to respond in timely manner and resolve the hot issues
which require engineering decision and/or feedback
* Managed a team including assigning tasks, allocating timescales, and supervising and motivating
others to meet agreed deadlines.
* Committee coordinator responsibilities included ensuring effective communication links between
the construction management members and the client/consultant regarding project execution

Structural designer: in a construction office in Aleppo, Syria
- Created structural designs and engineering plans and specifications for high end residential properties requiring earthquake proofing and other structural engineering designs (Schools, Villas, Residential Buildings, Historical Buildings...etc)
- Responsible for all duties related to the project.
- Gained broad experience in designing buildings’ extensions within very tight and congested areas using different structural systems.

Structural designer: in Technology and Construction Units, Aleppo University, Syria
- carry out the structural analysis and design (concrete & steel structures), and preparing fabrication drawings for steel structures as well as details & rebar drawings for concrete structures.
- Preparing technical documentation for upcoming projects.
- Reviewing contract documents and administer all issues related to the project.
- Gained experience in designing & building bridges; I had to survey the site where a bridge was being proposed, to ensure it was the most suitable site for a bridge. From there I would have to conceive a suitable design for the bridge. And then start to design and prepare shop drawings and all construction details.
